Admitted at the Tripoli Bar in 1966, Joseph is a Founding Partner of the ARAYGI & MAALOULY Law Firm

He has more than forty years of experience in many legal fields and particularly in criminal and commercial law. He advises clients on various legal issues especially those related to mergers and acquisitions.

Raymond (Rony) ARAYGI

Admitted at the Beirut Bar in 1989, Rony has been involved in a very large number of legal matters, particularly in commercial, corporate, fiscal fields and in international and local arbitration. Rony has also participated in international and local arbitrations, both ad hoc and institutional, including under the Rules of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, the Dubai International Arbitration Center (DIAC) and the Lebanese Arbitration and Mediation Center (LAMC) in a variety of matters, including post M&A, distribution, construction, joint-ventures, intellectual property, etc.

Rony holds a Lebanese Masters of law and a Diploma of Higher Studies (DES) in private law from Saint Joseph University, Beirut.

He is fluent in English, French and Arabic.

Rony held an official position within the Lebanese administration as Advisor of the Minister of Public Health (from 1996 to 1998 and from 2000 to 2004), Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture (from 1998 to 2000), and Advisor to the Minister of Interior and Municipalities (from 2004 to 2005).

Rony was nominated as Minister of Culture in the Lebanese Government from February 2014 till December 2016.

He received in 2016 from the French Republic the civilian distinction of ``Commandeur des Arts et des Lettres``.

Gabriel MAALOULY

Gabriel has been a lecturer in Business law at Saint Joseph University, Beirut since 1994.

He holds Lebanese Masters of law from Saint Joseph University, Beirut.

Gabriel is fluent in English, French and Arabic.

Paula MAALOULY (born HAKIM)

Admitted at the Beirut Bar in 1989, Paula advises many clients and companies in various legal fields, particularly in banking, corporate, commercial, and real estate matters.

She has acted as legal advisor in the structuring and the establishment of the contractual relation between real estate owners and the real estate Company in charge of the management of Beirut’s downtown “Solidere”.

She was a lecturer for a year in Business Law at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik.

Paula holds a Lebanese Masters of law from Saint Joseph University, Beirut.

Paula is fluent in French and Arabic.

Nicole ARAYGI

Admitted at the Beirut Bar in 2014, Nicole has acquired international experience in the international arbitration field, both commercial and investment, as a trainee in the international arbitration department of the French Law Firm Bredin Prat (Paris) and as a member of the international arbitration team of Mayer Brown LLP-Paris Law Firm between 2016 and 2018. She joined the firm in early 2019.

Nicole taught a workshop in Private International Business Law as part of the Masters program at the University of Evry-Val-d`Essonne, France in 2016-2017. She currently teaches a workshop in Private International Law to fourth year law students at the Saint-Joseph University of Beirut.

She holds a Lebanese Bachelor of Law from the Saint Joseph University of Beirut, a Masters in Private International Law and International Business Law from the Paris II University, Pantheon-Assas a Diploma in International Arbitration from the University of Montpellier, France, and a LLM in Business Law from the Saint Joseph University of Beirut.

She is currently the ICC Young Arbitration & ADR Forum (YAAF) representative for Lebanon.

Nicole is fluent in English, French and Arabic.

Sylvie EL HABER
